AP Gov Assignments for Week of March 23-27

We have been asked to share next week's assignments by Friday.

Everyone should have received a link via email to access the class OneNote.  If you didn't, let me know.  You will submit assignments via OneNote.  There is a learning curve for me as this is the first time I am using it.

Here are the assignments for the week:

  1. If you are the first half of the alphabet, Current Events are due.  This is grading period 5, CE#1.  Submit it through OneDrive. (35 points)
  2. Complete Khan Academy lesson on Political Ideology by Monday night. (100 points)
  3. Complete the Civil Rights legislation/amendments project.  (70 points)  The topics were chosen last Friday in class.  You do not need to create a PowerPoint.  You can create a Word document and turn it in via OneNote. Be detailed.   Here are the criteria:
    1. Identify the historical background of this legislation
    2. Why was this legislation needed?
    3. How did this legislation improve society if it did?  Was there any pullback by anyone in America?
    4. What is the legacy of this legislation?
  4. AMSCO Book pages 348 to 380.  Write bullet points for important details.  Write at least three bullet points for each page.  Submit on OneNote.
  5. Last Hoorah before the AP GOV Exam!

This is the last hoorah before the AP American Government and Politics Exam.  You all have been preparing for this exam all year and I wish you the best tomorrow.  If you need any last-minute pointers, let me know and I'll give you advice. You will need to log on using your exam ticket at about 3:30 on Monday, May 11.  You will need to log into a demo exam to check and see if your device is compatible.  The exam will start at 4:00 p.m. and will ultimately be over by 4:50. I have posted a video to tell you all "Hoorah" and best wishes on the exam. I do not have any assignments for you this week.  But I hope you take the time to turn in some things and include your reply to the Flipgrid video .  I would like to see your face and hear your voice. This was supposed to be your last week as a senior in school, and I truly miss this annual ritual.  It should have been a once in a lifetime ritual for you.  Let me know if there is anything I can do...

Social Studies Fair Information

This is information about the Social Studies Fair: Wednesday, January 30 from 4:00 - 6:30. Set up starts in the Taylor County Middle School library at 3:30. Please bring your presentation board and abstract with you. Mr. Zukowski will not be at school on Tuesday, but you can message him on Tuesday if you have questions.   If you need transportation to the school, let Mr. Zukowski know. There is a snow day or Ice Pack day, further instructions will come. If you are not able to attend due to practice/game/competition or work, let Mr. Zukowski know in class on Monday.
