AP Gov Update for October 1-5

Monday, October 1, is a momentous occasion for a couple of reasons.  First, it is the beginning of the federal fiscal year in which the budget year starts.  Also, the first Monday in October is the beginning of the U.S. Supreme Court year.

Last Tuesday was National Voter Registration Day and a voter registration drive in conjunction with Youth Leadership Association (YLA) was administered.  I gave extra credit to those who registered or verified that they are registered.  I am still offering that if you are able to show me evidence of this.  I know many of you are not 18 yet, so if you bring in any political/election campaign paraphernalia, I will provide extra credit.  Do not take yard signs, as this is a crime!
