AP Gov Update for the week of November 13-17

***All students will be turning in Current Events on Monday, November 13.

*** Starting in December, Edmodo will be used in AP Gov class.  There will be time devoted to class this week to sign up for it.  Do not sign up ahead of time.  You will be using your school Office 365 account to link to Edmodo.

Monday:

  • Total Recall Question - will be on Thursday of last week's paper.
  • We will be finishing the PowerPoints.  Remember there are score deductions for errors within the PowerPoint.
  • We will finally start on 5-3 notes about discrimination of other minority groups.
Tuesday:
  • Total Recall Question - will be on Friday of last week's paper.  If you already crossed it out, you can attach it to a paper and staple it before you turn it in.
  • EQ 5-4 notes about discrimination to women.
Wednesday:
  • We will use computers or devices to link to Edmodo.  The link will be shared with you in class.
  • We will reflect on the study guide for the chapter to prepare for the test on Thursday.
Thursday (modified schedule):
  • Chapter 5 test.
  • Chapter 6 Vocabulary
Friday (modified schedule):
  • We will watch a program called The Orville and how it hands out justice in one of the episodes.

Last Hoorah before the AP GOV Exam!

This is the last hoorah before the AP American Government and Politics Exam.  You all have been preparing for this exam all year and I wish you the best tomorrow.  If you need any last-minute pointers, let me know and I'll give you advice. You will need to log on using your exam ticket at about 3:30 on Monday, May 11.  You will need to log into a demo exam to check and see if your device is compatible.  The exam will start at 4:00 p.m. and will ultimately be over by 4:50. I have posted a video to tell you all "Hoorah" and best wishes on the exam. I do not have any assignments for you this week.  But I hope you take the time to turn in some things and include your reply to the Flipgrid video .  I would like to see your face and hear your voice. This was supposed to be your last week as a senior in school, and I truly miss this annual ritual.  It should have been a once in a lifetime ritual for you.  Let me know if there is anything I can do...

Social Studies Fair Information

This is information about the Social Studies Fair: Wednesday, January 30 from 4:00 - 6:30. Set up starts in the Taylor County Middle School library at 3:30. Please bring your presentation board and abstract with you. Mr. Zukowski will not be at school on Tuesday, but you can message him on Tuesday if you have questions.   If you need transportation to the school, let Mr. Zukowski know. There is a snow day or Ice Pack day, further instructions will come. If you are not able to attend due to practice/game/competition or work, let Mr. Zukowski know in class on Monday.
