AP Gov Update for January 3-17

Happy New Year!!!

Here is the agenda for the next couple of weeks.  Mr. Zukowski will not be her January 8-14.  If you need anything, talk to him before he leaves.  You are welcome to message or email, but you may not get a quick response.

Friday, January 3:

  • Finish Open Packet test if needed
  • Zac Fancher will speak about Civic Participation

Monday, January 6:
  • Current Events Second half of alphabet Grading Period 3, CE#2
  • Tissue Box projects presentations
  • Semester Exam discussion
  • Supreme Court Justice Project introduction and assignments 
Tuesday, January 7 through Thursday, January 9:
  • Work on Supreme Court Justice Projects on iPads
Friday, January 10:
  • Robert Bolton will speak to the class
Monday, January 13:
  • All students turn in Current Events:  Grading Period 3, CE#3
  • Print Supreme Court Justice Project in the computer lab

Tuesday, January 14:
  • Present Supreme Court Justice projects

Wednesday and Thursday:
  • Semester Exam - Wednesday is multiple-choice, Thursday is written exam

Friday:
  • Semester exams for other classes

Last Hoorah before the AP GOV Exam!

This is the last hoorah before the AP American Government and Politics Exam.  You all have been preparing for this exam all year and I wish you the best tomorrow.  If you need any last-minute pointers, let me know and I'll give you advice. You will need to log on using your exam ticket at about 3:30 on Monday, May 11.  You will need to log into a demo exam to check and see if your device is compatible.  The exam will start at 4:00 p.m. and will ultimately be over by 4:50. I have posted a video to tell you all "Hoorah" and best wishes on the exam. I do not have any assignments for you this week.  But I hope you take the time to turn in some things and include your reply to the Flipgrid video .  I would like to see your face and hear your voice. This was supposed to be your last week as a senior in school, and I truly miss this annual ritual.  It should have been a once in a lifetime ritual for you.  Let me know if there is anything I can do...

Social Studies Fair Information

This is information about the Social Studies Fair: Wednesday, January 30 from 4:00 - 6:30. Set up starts in the Taylor County Middle School library at 3:30. Please bring your presentation board and abstract with you. Mr. Zukowski will not be at school on Tuesday, but you can message him on Tuesday if you have questions.   If you need transportation to the school, let Mr. Zukowski know. There is a snow day or Ice Pack day, further instructions will come. If you are not able to attend due to practice/game/competition or work, let Mr. Zukowski know in class on Monday.
