AP Gov Update August 28 to Sept 1

Here is the schedule for this week: Monday: Total Recall Question Vocabulary Quiz for chapter 1 EQ Notes 1-3 Read pages 32-40 for Tuesday. Tuesday: Total Recall question Essential Question quiz for chapter 1.  You are permitted to use your notes.  Here are the possible questions: EQ 1-1:  What happens as a result of the government collecting taxes? EQ 1-2:  Why don't many people participate in government? EQ 1-3:  What beliefs of did the Founding Fathers intended Americas have based on the values? Turn in chapter 1 packet Chapter 2 vocabulary will be distributed. We will break down the Articles of Confederation. Wednesday:  (Modified schedule) Total Recall question Continued discussion of the Articles of Confederation EQ Notes 2-1:  Why did the Articles of Confederation fail? Read pages 45-50 for Thursday. AP Gov Update for August 21-25

We made it through the first four days of the school year and you have a reprieve on Monday.  Be sure you are outside during the eclipse.  Thursday will also be a two hour early dismissal. Here is the schedule for the week: Monday:  Make sure you have your current events and vocabulary finished. Tuesday:  We will start with the Total Recall question.  Read pages 2-11 for Tuesday.  We will start chapter 1 notes with Essential Question notes 1-1 focusing on political participation.  Read pages  11-19 for homework. Wednesday:  We will continue with Total Recall questions and complete Essential Question notes 1-2.  Read pages 20-23 for homework Thursday:  Students will complete Essential Question notes 1-3. Friday:  We will have Fridays Total Recall question and turn in.  Students will complete the mock AP Exam which we show Mr. Zukowski a baseline potential on the AP Exam in May. Have a great week!

AP Gov Update for August 15-18

This is the beginning of a new school year.  I wish you the best in this class and every other class.  You will be successful in this class if you complete the tasks required of this class.  Doing the assignments in the correct manner the first time around will get you ahead in class.  We always make errors and Mr. Zukowski will be available for questions.  His planning period is Second period and will be available from 7:30 to 7:55 and after school until 3:30. Please turn in your meeting verification sheets and Constitution questions prior to Second Period on Tuesday so they can be checked over prior to Seventh Period. An update like this will be posted each week and will be distributed through LiveGrades, school email, and Remind.  You will be able to sign up for Remind on the first two days of school and Mr. Zukowski will make sure all email addresses will be in his email address book to distribute links.
